📖 Handbook Modernization Proposal Available

A comprehensive 2024 Handbook Modernization proposal has been developed featuring a four-tier framework for PMTNM governance and operations. This proposal provides a detailed roadmap for transitioning from the current 2014 handbook to a modern, digital-first structure that addresses contemporary teaching needs and organizational requirements. Section VIII - Certification

STATE CERTIFICATION

  1. State (PMTNM) Certification, which was previously a requirement for membership, has been discontinued.
  2. It has been replaced by the PMTNM Continuing Education Program. Members are encouraged to further their education through this program. See Section IX of this Handbook for details.

NATIONAL (MTNA) CERTIFICATION AND RENEWAL

  1. MTNA certification and renewal are now processed directly through the national office.
  2. Checks for MTNA certification fees should be made payable to MTNA and sent to the national office along with required forms and material.
  3. MTNA certification applications or renewal information can be obtained by contacting the national office in any of the following ways:
