Biography

Jacquelineline M. Zander-Wall is a mezzo-soprano vocalist, voice pedagogue, and Founding Director of the Vocal Artistry Art Song Festival. A seasoned performer with over 50 recital credits and extensive performance experience across opera, chamber music, and art song, Jacqueline has performed at prestigious venues including the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Brooklyn Academy of Music, and major opera companies throughout North America and Europe. Her artistry is grounded in rigorous training at world-class institutions and mentorship from legendary pedagogues including Phyllis Curtin and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.

Jacqueline's career spans two continents. After earning her B.A. and M.A. in Vocal Performance from the University of California at Santa Barbara, she pursued intensive studies in Germany and Austria, including a Diploma from Boston University's Opera Institute. She has been a dedicated teacher for over two decades, serving as Voice Faculty at the University of New Mexico (2006–2012), faculty at the College of Santa Fe, and private instructor to young artists throughout New Mexico and across Phillips Andover and Phillips Exeter academies. Her pedagogical philosophy emphasizes vocal artistry, artistic interpretation, and the power of art song to transform singers and audiences alike.

In 2008, Jacqueline founded the Vocal Artistry Art Song Festival with a mission to "inspire and encourage students of singing in the state of New Mexico." Through the festival, masterclasses, and her private studio in Albuquerque, Jacqueline continues to mentor emerging vocalists and foster a vibrant music community. She is a proponent of new music and has premiered contemporary works at prestigious venues including the Composers Forum in Moscow and international music festivals.
