Our commitment

Music is for everyone, and so is this website. We use the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as our guide when we build and update pages. We have not had the site formally audited, so we do not claim conformance with any particular WCAG level.

What we've done so far

  • Pages declare their language so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
  • The main and footer navigation are marked up as labeled navigation regions.
  • Animations are reduced when your device is set to prefer reduced motion.
  • Layouts adapt to phones, tablets, and desktop screens, and text can be enlarged with your browser's zoom.
  • Form fields on our contact page have visible labels.

Known limitations

  • Some older documents, especially scanned PDFs in our archives, may not work well with screen readers.
  • Older archived pages may have inconsistent headings or formatting.
  • We link to many websites we don't control, such as MTNA, event organizers, and teachers' studio sites. Their accessibility is outside our control.

Report a problem

If something on this site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us through the contact page. Let us know the page address and what went wrong, and we'll do our best to fix it or get you the information another way.
