Jacqueline Zander-Wall
Jacqueline Zander-Wall has performed extensively across Europe and the United States, appearing with the Stuttgart Hugo Wolf Gesellschaft, Hamburg Mahler Verein, the Villa Lobos Ensemble, and at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Her chamber music collaborations include the Aspen and Skaneateles Music Festivals, and she has sung with ensembles such as L’art pour l’art in Frankfurt and Chaosmas in Moscow. As an oratorio and opera soloist, she has performed with Robert Shaw, the Flensburger Bach-Chor, and opera companies including Boston Lyric, Arizona Opera, and the Hamburg Opera. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara and Boston University’s Opera Institute, she founded the Vocal Artistry Art Song Competition to support New Mexico’s young singers.
Astrid Viana Groth
Astrid Viana Groth is an independent piano teacher and performing artist with over 35 years of experience. A Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and Past-President of both the Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico and the Albuquerque Music Teachers Association, she was named PMTNM Teacher of the Year in 2006. Her students have excelled in state and national competitions and continued their studies at leading universities including Stanford, Oberlin, NYU, and the Manhattan School of Music. Holding degrees from Marymount College and the University of New Mexico, she specializes in teaching classical piano, music theory, and history to students from middle school through adulthood.
Dr. Marina Bengoa Roldán
Dr. Marina Bengoa Roldán, a Spanish concert pianist, has performed internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator with orchestras across Europe and the United States. She is Assistant Professor of Piano at Eastern New Mexico University and co-founder of the South Arkansas Music Teachers Association. A champion of Spanish music, she commissioned and premiered Fantasia Flamenca by Pascual Gimeno and earned top prizes in numerous competitions. A Carnegie Hall performer and recipient of awards from Mu Phi Epsilon and the Chopin Society of Atlanta, she holds a Doctorate in Piano Performance from the University of Oregon, where she also received the Outstanding Award in Piano Pedagogy.
