Membership in PMTNM does more than simply complement your career as a music professional—it supports, supplements and shapes it.  It empowers music teachers to become better educators through networking, leadership, mentoring and educational opportunities.  Active Membership is available to any individual professionally engaged in a music activity. Teachers of all instruments and voice, as well as composition and other music disciplines, are encouraged to join!  New PMTNM members must also join the Music Teachers National Association and a local association, if any.

Active members are entitled to participate in all association activities, vote, and hold office.  Members over age 70 qualify for Senior Membership rates.  The membership year runs July 1 through June 30.  New members joining between January 1 and June may receive discounted membership dues.
