Contributor Guide (Non‑Technical)

Thank you for helping improve the Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico Handbook. You don’t need any special tools—just follow one of the simple options below.

Option A: Send Corrections by Email

Open the current text: handbook_text/handbook.txt
Copy the paragraph you want to improve into your email.
Write your suggested change beneath it. Include: page/section, old text, new text.
Send to: admin@pmtnm.org

Tip: If suggesting multiple edits, number them for clarity.

Option B: Use the Website Contact Form

Open the contact form: Contact PMTNM
Select the appropriate subject and paste your suggested change.
Include your name and email so we can confirm the update.

What Happens Next

Your suggestion is logged and reviewed by the committee.
Small fixes may be applied quickly; larger changes go to board review.
Accepted changes appear on the website after the next publish.

Important Notes

The public “process/steps” documentation is in the public domain (CC0).
The handbook content remains under PMTNM control and is not relicensed.
Please avoid sharing private contact information or student data.
